Need some info on my father Inlaws viper. It's a 780, venom heads, vforce reeds, Hauck pipes. Need to know some clutching info? What rpms and hp should we be running. It's got adjustable transfer rods and lots of chisels but doent hook very well. Any info would be great.

depends on what pipes are on it, hauck has never made pipes, he just sells them with his nmae. so you need to know which pipes are on it, as cpr, aaen have made the pipes for him over the years. maybe post a picture to identify then can tell you what rpm and clutching to start with.

Yeah he's only pulling 85-8600. He's pulling th cluth off as we speak to verify the weights. It has a Hauck orange primary and a aftermarket secondary green spring. The helix is Hauck aswell but waiting to hear on that aswell. Will check back ASAP. Any thoughts on what kind of power this thing is making. Seams pretty stout I've read 160 plus hp somewhere.

hes probably got 8dn 10s with hauck v helix. that helix is there 51/45 but measures 49/43. works well. far as power I also have venom heads and they told me 155-160. I have a couple clutch setups. actually right now ive been testing mr viper 8ca setup seems to work great, haven't got a chance to do wide open run yet. if your interested

I have the venom kit, ported, and venom heads. not sure what that classifies the the sled to be

In the beginning you mentioned it does not hook up. And full of chiseles. Need to know how many are in the track. Sometimes to many will hurt your penetration and cause you to spin.

It has 192. We race snow but after the turbo sleds get at it it's usually ice. Seams to pick the skis up and carry them once it does hook but spins a lot out of the hole. Transfer rods are maxed out. 1 inch predator track

Ok so here's his set up. It's only pulling 8600-8700 rpms. As previously answered it should be I the 91-9300 range with the pipes. So where do I go from here to get the rpms up

Hauck orange primary spring
Hauck x weights tip hole has bolt/washer/nut
Middle has set screw
Base hole empty

Hauck J helix green spring at 70

Any help would be great.

i like to see ya add more twist to that bad boy but i don,t know what that spring is in secondary. orchie, looks like somebody added all the weight to the tip. i would take some weight off tip. best way. 3:16 (yammie tony)

He's racing the 660 this weekend in snow so I'd like to get him dialed in. Il grid off some of the bolt In the tip. The way it sits right now the weight weighs 56grams

I would weigh how much is in the tips and divide it in half and move the rest to the center hole.

the "J" helix is just a straight 45, so somthing more like a 51/45 would be quicker for drag racing.

Took the viper for a ride today and it spins alot on the hard pack. Feels like the skis want to come up hard when its not spinning. The transfer rods are adjusted out all the way. The Fra is in the middle position. He only uses this sled for snow drags any tips to ge this thing to hook up. Has a nice predator track with 192 chissles.

I never really like that predator track .....make sure the track sit flat on the ground
