Not necessarily, electricity can be funny when it wants to. It's just not always funny to us. The caps are really easy to test, and then rule out or replace.
There's not a lot more to go on with the above info that we have to work with, and there are still some unanswered questions from prior posts. You may have the answers but we don't know that. Besides everything else discussed above, your symptoms still sound like dirty carbs. Or maybe a bad stator, since those have been going bad on a lot of sleds recently, lets throw that one in too.

Ok it seems to be running pretty good. Other than when I start it cold I have to cycle the half choke a few times to keep it idling. It still backfires at idle when its hot. Its blowing a good blue flame out of the exhaust. It pulls pretty good.

u should check with a light inside those cylinder to make sure u don't have any top piston burning down ....
make sure u didn't wreck the crank seal behind the clutch ......or maybe twist the crank himself

What should I look for on the crown? Twist the crank? Wouldn't it run like shit all the time?

it doesn't run bad all the time ?? to see if the exhaust edge of the piston is not burn down
u should try went the engine is hot and running to unplug a sparkplug till u find the one that make those back fire
