I heard the same thing about top end not being their, I am sure miles will help loosen up the engine, but most everyone that has a Viper or SRX bought them because they prefer to be the first one across the lake or straight away. It's true I welcome the big bump capability that the new Viper has but still prefer speed over big bump capability. I also agree Yamaha should have choosen a diffrent name for the new Viper, it does not live up to the name unless you stick a 2,000 dollar turbo on it, and that may not do it .........
Maybe its just me, but I have a hard time spending 12-15,000 on a car or truck, let alone a snowmobile I can ride 4-6 weeks out of the year if I am lucky.
I don't think I am Yamaha's target customer anymore
