98 vmax 500 doesnt run smooth

Hey guys Im having trouble getting this thing dialed in getting fed up with it! stuck a bunch of money into the clutches vmax john set up still doesnt seem to preform the best doesnt seem to run as smooth as it should under a load seems very spuddery and not smooth the needles have 3 settings on them and 2 little white washers and are in the middle notch with the washers below them I have the air screws turned out 1 and 3/4 turns as it says on the belt gaurd I have a bender trail can on it as well the tor switch is bypassed will that make a differance in the way it runs? new plugs and caps as well.. if i didnt have bad luck id have none!!!

Dumb question, have you ever replaced the fuel filter? Might just be that simple.

no i have not i havent even thought about that them things are a pain to get out too lol

yup and they cause a few problems as well.

try putting the washers above the clip and see if it don't help!

put one washer on top one on bottom and seemed to help some! havent got to check the fuel filter yet gotta grab an old hanger and do some diggin

yes i do that would work great for diggin out the fuel filter! I ordered one mines well change it anyways maintanence is always good!
