I have a chance to get a running 1994 vmax 600 and a blown 1998 vmax 500. I was thinking that I could take the 600 twin motor and put it into the vmax chasis. will it direct bolt in. what, if any problems will occur? will the harnesses match up ? will this be an easy transition ?

The cases are different and will not be a direct bolt in. You will have to fab up motor mounts.
Dont quote me on this (Im sure someone else will know for sure), but if your crank in the 500 is still good and its just the top end thats bad, is it a possibility that you could swap the top end off the 600 onto the 500? I know they used the same bottom end, but dont know if the difference in years would screw up cooling passages.
