mrviper700,
I have a lot of aid with parts for a 2000+ I removed the harness last week because it was cut and modified so much I didnt trust it. So I have no harness on this sled. I want to put on a 2000+ harness and run the correct stator. Would I not get better performance with the 300w stator and different ignition sequence?
Thank you,
Atlantic

Update:
I have a 2001 harness installed, regulator, relays, stator and flywheel, key assembly and I have two wires I have zero idea what they are. I believe the TPS sensor and I am not sure of the second plug in the photo.
I have no fire though. I also dont have the lights hooked up. I bought a 2000 light and now need the pod. It has been a lot of work but I am hoping I am close.

those plugs are for the tps and the coils.
Hi Guys,
So coils for a 2001 are different than a 98-99? I will need a new fuel rail also is my understanding! Does anyone have a picture for me to look at as a reference?
Thank you,
Marcus

YES the coils are different. 98-99 fire all at the same time and are wired in a series where as 00+ has a firing order and are fired individually. "fuel rail"??? Do you a set of carbs? Yes if you want it to work right. With out them you will have the TPS fault code flashing, would only marginally affect how it runs though. I have read the guys running big bore engines with 38MM carbs have figured out a way to trick the system with a dummy TPS box but don't know the details. Probably best off to get another set of carbs. I will look around for some pics and if I cant find any tonight I can take some tomorrow for you.
Hi Guys,
What a feeling!!! I used a new set of carbs and new coils and the first pull was nothing but a big "WOOOOOOOO!!! and fist pump!" Loved seeing it fire properly for the first time! Tomorrow night I am putting in the new Carbonfibre Reeds, I got a nice deal on them and I am hoping they will work well, cleaning the carbs, put back the air box, check my sensors and put back the Primary and Secondary Clutch. It wont be the best Clutch set up but I hope it will get me around this weekend. Then install the exhaust and Ill take some pics and throw them up. Still looking for the pod for a 2000+ but will run the new harness with a single light in the 99 setup.
BDN-10 weights loaded, not sure how many grams the rivets are? Then a g/g/g primary and a pink secondary. Not sure what to wrap the secondary at but may start at 60 on a 48/42 helix.
