there are Snow Drags in a hour or so here, I have been testing with a few springs HC white 5000 engagment, Hauck Orange 4500 engagement and a Yamaha GWG egagement at 3800 just checking to see what guys would prefer for secondary wrap on a 50/38 rpms are at 8500 at the 500ft mark

Tighter wrap on super hard snow
loosen wrap on super hard snow

I'm running

8bu-00 4.5 inner 3.6 tip
GWG as of right now
50/38 dalton wrapped a 60
23/40 gears
1.75 sno X track
 
I used to burp the throttle if I spun bad out of the hole lets say 10 to 15 ft out,if I got a bog I would tighten the sec if not I would leave it.
 
also running 15 mm rollers thats why the egagement is a little lower!

NO studs allowed looks like a lug ripper race track

Looks like the race won't start for another 2hours waiting for everyone to get here!

Sorry to hear, not that I would have been much help, but was the problem on the clutching, or track conditions? What kinda sleds we're you up against?

A little bit of everything. I let my son race the sled so some came from being a greenhorn lol, I should have put back the Hauck orange (4500rpms), the heelclicker white has a little too much egagement (5000rpms) for the conditions so I kept the GWG as it had a 3800 engagement but was not enough to get the sled moving off the start line

He went up against a Mach 1 700, which I can beat easy if I was driving and a 2013 600 Pro RMK which is real fast, he usually wins 600 stock and Improve also which I helped clutch my bad!!!!

Plus my sled broke both transfer rods
