my srx on tar. 3:16

jeff, pretty close performance wise to stock pipes. power inc. seem to hit hard in mid. have more testing to do, first pass it over reved so thats a good thing, could mean alittle more power. track was not sticky, 60,s were lousy. 3:16 (yammie tony)
 
another note i refuse to use any can but stock yamaha. i have power. inc pipes in yamaha can. i won,t use that suitcase.especially for 1/4 mile 3:16 (yammie tony)
 
i prepare a srx for asphalt racing too ,, what is the best way to prepare the carburator with air box and removed airbox
i have a aaen pipe and i put a 50 pilot jet but i'm not sure for the jetting
 
i can,t give jet spec,s. all different , to many changes at different tracks. mr happy, i won,t run any yamaha without air box. and complete air box. filters will cause more of a bog/ lag because they will cause fuel spray back. 3:16 (yammie tony)
 
I ran mine last year with no airbox and stock jetting and didn't have any bog but will be running air filters this year. My sled wont make any power with the air box until i remove the upper part of the box.
 
Mine for some funny reason will not make any power with full airbox. it only made 89hp on dyno and then removed the upper part and made 130 hp right away. but don't forget that's with stock jetting.
 
Well gab.... it is a test & go on every sled cause they're all a little different!
Our asphalt SX 700 with triple pipes, heads cut to 160 compression, carbon fiber reeds & reed spacers is running with 47.5 pilots-147.5 mains-needles richened 1 clip, screws at 2 turns & no air box up to 70 degs, above 70 degs I go to 146.3 mains, above 85 I go to 145s. Had 50 pilots in for a while but had a bog at the engagement like yammiegod is saying, but going to 47.5s ended that!
So far 10.31 @ 123 quarter...
