01 SRX tool kit location?

My 01 SRX was pretty stripped down when I bought it, previous owner drag raced it, and I'd like to buy a factory tool kit and mount it back on the sled. My 98 is in the trunk but according to the parts diagram the 01kit is mounted somewhere by the belt guard. Can someone post a pic of where and how it is mounted?
 
I think it belongs in the trunk anyway. I've never seen an SRX with the tool kit mounted there. The parts diagram seems to be wrong in my eyes, must have been updated/taken from another model.
 
Is there a retainer for the strap on the tunnel near the the front of rear storage area? If so it belongs there

No there isn't,the plastic piece that rivets to the seat frame was missing part of it and I'm assuming the retainer was on the part that was missing on mine.
 
On my sons 99 SX, there was still a place ahead of your right knee. That location wasn't used on the 99+. It was for sure used on the 97 SX. So we got a strap and a toolbox from a salvage yard and put a second toolbox in front of your r/knee. Keep spare bulbs in it and the normal toolbox in the trunk.
 
I guess the parts fiche for all the SRX's have the tool kit on the same panel as the belt guard which was where my confusion was coming from and as I have been told and figured the tool kit goes in the trunk.Thanks guys.
