Tuner skis or dual carbides?

I'm putting together my list of parts for my engine rebuild of my 01 SRX and have been tossing around the idea of what to do with the darting of this sled too and from a previous thread I had put up tuner skis seems to be the best way to cure it.Well after pricing what it will cost to put skis and carbides together I'm not so sure I'll be going this way unless more OT is going to be coming my way at work this summer so I'm thinking I may only be able to go as far as a set of dual carbides instead.Is anyone running duals on the stock USI SRX skis?What do you recommend for brand?Keep in mind this sled is studded w/144 down the middle too.

Yeah I have a 136 in 1.25 ripsaw studded down the middle too. I'm running viper skis now with dual carbide. I like em. No darting really. I have a set of Simmons skis but they are red so I haven't put em on to try. I suspect my engine is putting out 170 HP. Port and polished vforce reeds aean pipes Polaris wide roller primary and bender secondary. Also have bender intake. I just bought new rings and all the gaskets to go through the motor just because.

Have you tried Bergstroms Ski Saver. Those coupled with their Triple Points are a very nice combination.

I haven't tried that particular setup yet but it's been on my list of things to ask about.

I started with duals on stock skis, they were great! Harder to turn though. Then I went to tuners, they were even better! Just didn't like the fact I lost an 1" of ride height. Now I'm back to stock skis with single 6" carbides....I like them best!

I have a 98 srx 700 and use apex skis not new tuner ones with snow tracker aggressive carbide no darting handles like it's on rails

I have Bergstrom triple points with their ski savers on my MM700 stock skis. It runs like it's on rails.

I switched from stock skis with carbides to Simmons skis. I wanted a lot more turning grip to run hard on the trails and these skis way outperform the stock set on trail and off. Sure it turns a bit harder- who cares, the grip and predictable handling is there!
