Have a question , I am putting a set of 1996 vmax 500 carbs on an older motor, what issues will I have without the equalizer tube, boost bottle installed? Gunna take some serious mods to install one. Thanks in advance.

It depends what kind of motor you are putting it on. If its a piston port motor, it will do nothing. As far as I understand it, the boost bottle balances reed pressure and helps with throttle response on reed motors. Maybe some one else can chime in and give you a more in depth answer.
