Oh yea by the way I ran sx gears as well.I wouldn't order a 39 for speed running trust me.If you run 23-38 or 23-37 gears you can use stock chain.Ypu could run 24-39 too for speed running youu do not want to shift all the way out or hit overdrive it will be slower or inconsistent.

Pro, is the o-s-o primary spring a good one for everyday use as well (trails, lakes, etc)? I run the Maxx Perf purple and can't get enough the Hitters weighted enough to keep the rpms where they need to be.

what would 22/38 gears run for mph on a long pull with full shift out if you were able to pull it?thanks-Harvey

Neil I have ran it on trail once this set up but your sacfifice backshift with all the added tip weight but on the lake it just flat out goes drag racing and speed running.I can't remember forgot to write it down but I think I ended up running as munch weight in the tip and center as I could.I think even the rx1 moutain's have an o-s-o spring now but don't quote me on that.I sold you that 54-46 helix didn't I if I did let me know if you want to sell it.Thank'sRyan

Yeah Ryan, you did sell me that helix. I like the setup for the most part, but I too have as much weight in the tip and mid as I can get (I only have the 48.3 gram base weights though) and I still cant get the rpms below 8400rpms (at about 8500 right now, but have one more thin washer to throw in the mid). Is there a different spring I could try to bring the rpms down or something else I could try? The sled pulls really hard with this setup though all the way to top end, but I'd like to get rid of this slight over rev if possible.

Neil it sound's like your going to have to go with a lower finish rate spring then.I would have to look it up but I had 57 or somthing around there base weight.

What spring would you recommend then? I'll be in chat shortly if you are gonna be in tonight. Thanks Ryan!

Gah.
Ok, night before, i blow a like 2 inch chunk outta my belt. I never did shit to the sled, never cleaned carbs, messed with jetting, ANYTHING.
Ran 85, yep, pathetic. it was hard as HELL to hook up to, fricken modded zrt 800's were running 90 only. top speed of the DAY was 104 by an open mod XCR 600, that goes to show how bad the track was, plus it was hott, oh well, enough excuses, maybe better next time
