1979 enticer air box

Trying to get to the carb to clean it and also install a new carb to airbox boot. Is it me or does the entire sled need to be disassembled to achieve this? Seems a bit crazy. The good part is I can clean everything up pretty good. Looks like I need to take the tank out too which again isn't the worst thing since I have a new fuel filter for it anyway. What a pia

whitch model? i took the one off of our 78 et340 with very little trouble.

umm ya. on that one to remove the air box you pretty much have to disassemble everything to get it out. we usually just slipped the boot off the carb and pulled it with the air box in the sled.

Ya this thing is the biggest pain in the *** sled I have. It's unbelieveable. For everything. To take the carb off was a treat too.

is it possible to delete the airbox and run an air filter (UNI or K&N), if so what needs to be done?

most 2 stroke sleds do not run well with the air box removed.
