Pros and cons of 38mm carbs Srx 700???

Hi I am looking for the pros and cons of installing 38mm carbs on my STOCK 2000 Srx 700, well I have air box mod and cut heads. Since the sled is an older one I'm guessing this may be neat to death but haven't found much info. All welcome. I do the occasional drag race and dont like getting beat. A buddy is selling a set and was wondering how this would effect initial takeoff through to top end.

Stock engine I wouldn't bother. I think it would probably hurt your takeoff if anything. Maybe gain a little on top but you'd have to be running a mile or more to see it.
