I want my sled to just lift the skis all day! Any suggestions on how I can do this? I'm not worried about losing top end. What clutching and gearing should i use?
Thanks,

Ya, no way i'm doing that... i've already loosened her as much as she'll go. Any recommended gearing ratios?

Take your limiter straps out and make your own a little longer. Will allow you to get more transfer. Or get a Ski doo skid. My 97 MXZ was great at standing on end.

Take the transfer rods off and replace with a strap

1 7/8" snocross track. Removing the rods will uncouple the skid completely. Mpi used to make a kit for about $50 which was just a strap and a couple spacers for where the rods used to be. NOTE: i havent done this and its really meant for the long track guys but it should wheelie theres no doubt about that.

Ok, I just went on mountain performance website and found that kit you were talking about for 50$. It does say that it's meant for long track sleds. Should I a take the chance anyway?

Like i said i havent actually tried it myself. Obviously trailability will be much worse but you could always put the rods back on. I swapped out the skid before i fooled around with them to much.

Sled scrap yards or from people parting out sleds. More popular skids to swap are doo scIII (and new) and polaris edge skids (what i have)

So if I throw another skid in... I would have to move mounting brackets... Is that pretty much it?
