Although Pioneer does not have those exact angles listed, Bruce will cut whatever angle you want. Just call and talk to him first.

Great thanks. I guess those rivets could be smaller than 4.5 huh. I'll give Bruce a call about a helix. Are his helixes known to measure fairly accurate?

you start going smaller and smaller on the finish angle and its gonna over rev on topend and you wont be able to add more tip weight to get it back to 9000 as you already will have a 4.5 in the tip, so.... no, i would stay with a 50/44.
Mrviper, I finally have a chance to get this clutch set up going...I have a line on a bender 49/45 helix. Is this close enough?

if the helix is bender stamped 49/45 it would likely be ok, if its a coded helix that came out of a clutch kit and someone thinks they know the angles and did not actually accuratly measure, I would not bother with it.

Do you think the 49/46 would be too steep? I found a shockwave adjustable helix in the classifieds maybe that would be good.

seriously do what don says or you will be tinkering with it more and more. I bought a 48/35 helix from pioneer to work along with my heelcliker set up.. Lets just say i have had my clutch apart more then 100 times between this year and last year because i cant get the thing to work properly. took my brothers dalton 48/34 helix that mrviper specifically states to buy and put in his recommendations and well aaaa it goes perfect. just my own personal opinion. take it for what it is worth

Because I'm trying to find a used one...I've found lots for like 40-50$...50/42 maxx perf and a 49/45 bender are the closest I've found. And I found a shockwave adjustable so if I decide to do a drag setup or something I don't need to keep buying 130$ helixes...Dalton is pricey...the used shockwave is the same price as the new dalton but I don't have experience with this adjustable dealy. Heard lots of good things though! Also wondered if the 50/42 would work with the 8bf weights so I don't over rev. They are 2.9 grams heavier than 8ek and very similar according to your other post. Any setup is going to require some tuning no? Anyway...if this all sounds rediculous to you then I'll just do the exact setup you gave me with 50/44 just looking for cost effective options.
