Handbrake cable for Viper

Just made an 8" riser for my SXViper 700, got an extended brake line and throttle/oil, but so far no luck with the handbrake. Is the handbrake cable for the Mtn Viper longer than the stock Viper's? Can I use a cable from the '03 RX-1 Mtn?

Yes its longer and if the RX1 MTN cables ends are the same it should work fine.

I actually just removed the handbrake when I put tall risers on. I couldn't find a solution either. I figured at least I'm cutting some extra weight.

When I did the bar risers on my mountain max I just said screw the parking brake and took it all off. I keep a velcro quick wrap strap in my handlebar bag and that takes care of it.
