Can someone tell me sequence to retire my coils on 700 redhead triple 1998 venture. Cleaning carbs today and forgot sequence. I have a black and an orange wire coming from harness. Starting from right anyone know sequence? Any help appreciated. Thanks

The coils on a 98 redhead are wired in series & fire all at once, each time one of the cylinders hits TDC. The Viper & 2001 & newer redheads are wired differently.

All 3 will only go together one way. Male to female and so on.

FYI....a lot easier to just leave coils screwed to air box lid with plug wires still attached. Undo screws holding 2 halves of air box together, unplug the 2 coil wires (long and a short one) and flip the lid to front of motor out of the way. Saves you 3-4 steps taking apart and same 3-4 steps putting it back together.
