sxr 700 half throttle bog

well out on my fathers 2000 sxr 700 i noticed a bog and power loss. it run fine until about 1/2-3/4 throttle and then it falls on its face and bogs. if you hit it from a dead stop it bogs really bad as well. what do you guys thing it could be? im going to clean the carbs tonight... but i have already done them this fall so they SHOULD BE OKAY.

Had on do something like that distracted guy clean carbs and did not tighten main jet or pilot jet and fell out into bowl

Well you nailed it! Upon cleaning the carbs I found this.

Atleast it was an easy fix! My buddy had the same problem on his 99 Polaris 550 fan. He never once cleaned his carbs though. Cant believe it still runs actually. 12,000 miles with almost no maint. go figure.
