Need some other ideas here. My buddy is hearing a noise coming from the drive train of his 02 Viper. I have not heard it, but according to him, it is a loud "ticking" noise and increases with the speed of the track. At around 30mph, the noise goes away. The sled only has 1800 miles on it.
He replaced the clutch side driveshaft bearing, the track looks good, no studs have ripped out, front heat exchanger protectors are intact, tunnel protectors are secure, idler wheels appear to be in good condition, hyfax are in good shape.
Took apart the chain case last nite and everything looks in good shape. How do you tell if the chain adjuster bearing is bad? If the drive shaft was bent, would it make that noise?
We need other ideas.
Thanks.
