Anyone know about the heated carbs and if there will be issues if I just block the coolant lines in the carbs instead of having them being heated? Otherwise I'll have to get a new head, I'm itching to get this thing running.
I wouldn't think twice about doing that on my SRX to ride on groom trails but you're on a MM so I'd be thoughtful of throttle body icing from snow dust but say - ride it.

my 97 doesn't have the heated carbs and I've never had a problem with the carbs icing up.

Thanks for the input guys. I haven't put the carbs back on yet b/c I have a really slow oil leak that I can't figure out where it is coming from. I tightened all the hoses/clamps and adjusted the oil pump cable which was out of spec. Could that have possibly been causing a slow leak? I'm hoping that fixes it, guess we'll see, just don't want to put it back together until I figure this out.

The beast is alive finally! Now I just need to figure out how to adjust the drive belt and get some snow lol. I'll post a video when I get a chance.
