clutch puller

does anybody know the part# for a yamaha clutch puller for proaction sleds?. or know of a different good one to buy?

EPI makes a good puller, they're usually around $40

Pretty sure EPI is what I am using, came with a sled I bought. I am still pretty careful not to gonzo torqueing it......rather wait than bend it

I have an Epi puller. Trying it for the first time right now. So far my clutch is stuck. I just rolled the sled inside from 2 degrees to a 60 degree garage. Hopefully overnight when everything warms up it will pop. I left it loaded up.

@ backwoodsmax, have you tried tapping on the end with a hammer? i think that helps.

I was but it was a little stuck. I let it warm up then rapped it again and it popped. I was hitting it with a 5lb sledge through a ball peen hammer.

$16.99 versus $35.99 versus damaged crank when puller turns into a cork screw in there on a stuck/stubborn clutch. Be careful how much torque you put on it. Even with the EPI ($35.99 one) I had a SxR I had to let it set overnight and put a little more on it for it to pop. But then again I may have ben being to cautious.

From what I've read here - you get what you pay for including the EPI.

I got mine from, I think, Micro Belmont. Pricey at north of $80.00 but it's purdy (stainless?) and comes in a plastic slide box.
