I'm looking for some insight. I have a 2000 srx 700. I recently installed a bender cold air kit.
I jetted up main accordingly 157.5 155 155 pto to stator. As soon as I started it in my heated
Garage I knew something was off. I needed 2nd stage of choke to start and when the chokes
Off it slowly leans out to run on 1 or 2 cylinders. When I snap the throttle even when warm it
At low rpm it bogs unless its on first stage of choke. If the rpms. Are up around 3500 its fine
But off idle I have to nurse it. I've turned out screws from 1.5 to 1.75 and 2 1/8. This helps but
Its not enough. Do I raise the needles or change the pilot jets? Or just pull out what little hair I
Have left.

did you gut out the airbox also removed the shelf with 3 holes?

sounds like plugged pilot jets or pilot passage ways.pull carb bowls off clean pilots with carb spray and compressed air. one plugged pilot could cause it to run like that.

My bender kit ran lean when I gutted the air box. It runs good now with the vertical dividers removed, horizontal shelf with 3 horns in place, and modified cut top shelf with all foam in place.

that cold air kit ain,t causeing that. dig back into those carbs. check pilots, needle and seats , o-rings and screens. cold air kit ain,t causeing it to go two 2 cyls. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Your right!
Found two plugged pilots even the bowls and all internal were spotless
Thanks for the help. I was too focused on the changes I made to use my head!

Glad you found the problem, just be carefull running without that shelf, it will be more tempermental to temp changes! Also will make quite a bit more intake noise.
