I purchased an 80srx with a non matching engine code. it has the small jug bolts ( 10mm ) and !8mm piston pins . that tells me it should be a 76 0r 77. it had 80 jugs and heads on it. don't think that was a good idea eng. no. is RT139 008471 anybody know what year it is and info on decoding numbers thanks

ok, thanks to the reference chart I now know it has a 78 mag cover and block cause early 78s also had the smaller 10mm jug bolts and it has the rt stamp not the rx. I think it has a 76 or 77 crank or at least rods ( if they would even fit a 78 crank, don't know ) cause it has 18mm wrist pins . unless early 78s had 18mm wrist pins also ( again I don't know ) . looks as tho its been a--- thrown together-- miss matched---I don't wanna deal with it--- dump a sled sale. it barely ran when I picked it up and wouldn't start after that. I hear its hard to come by jugs and heads for a 77 so this may be a shelf ornament. thanks for the help.
