How much did that cost ya? Just to throw em in the circular file.I found that out the hard way
Yes I made the spider tool. I used a 34mm deep well socket I had laying around that fit perfectly over the clutch shaft to keep the tool flat on the spider. My cousin made the holder for his sled so I used that to hold it down. The holder is just a plate with 2 pins in it and then 2 plates at about the same angle as the sheave to clamp it down. I have recently seen the spider tool somewhere for sale that looks similar to the one I made. The pins are 1/2" and stick down 5/8" from the bottom of the plate and are 3" on center. I drilled 1/2" holes and pounded the pins in so they were nice and straight. I used rubber hose to cushion the pins and help keep the force equal on the spider. Remember it is left hand threads.did you make your own tool ? I'm a decent fabricator and yes ill be getting yamaha clutch bushings
I actually ended up using the bushings after doing some rework to them. They were way too tight. It is working fine but I plan on changing them this summer. None of the rest of the parts in the kit were right either. How much did that cost ya? Just to throw em in the circular file.
