Ideas for ski dampers?

So much to my surprise, my polaris skis will fit/bolt to my mountain max with the bolts that come with them. Perfect! The rubber bumper/dampers that go into the saddle for the stock mountain max skis have too much play, the Polaris ones do not work at all. Soo where can I get rubber stock big enough to carve new bumpers? How dense the rubber is also comes into play. Thanks for any help. Happy riding!
 
Nice, hmmmmm. These fit stock skis. For stock applications. In a perfect world I would get a Yamaha rubber damper,but deeper/thicker. Anyone know of maybe an aftermarket applications that have a Yamaha profile, but deeper? Or where I could find larger rubber blocks I might be able to carve?

Maybe you could add to it rather than starting from scratch. I used sticky backed pieces of 1/4" rubber to shim my SRX skis applying the sticky side to the ski saddle. I have some fuel tank isolation pads I used but maybe split some heater/radiator hose and stack it and rivet it?

As COB would say, just spitballin'.
 
If you use rubber cement(or liquid electrical tape), coat both surfaces that are going to be placed against each other. Let it sit and tackify for 10......TEN MINUTES. Yes I'm yelling 10 minutes. It's very hard to wait that amount of time but it is necessary for proper adhesion.
