As far a gearing goes. That is quite a large change. Dropping 1 tooth on the bottom has the same effect as dropping 2 teeth on the top. Now that being said, if you want to approach it from a test and tune standpoint go out and do this. Mark you primary clutch with a magic marker stripe from the bushing out to the edge. Go out and run the sled and see how much of the marker you rub off. If there is still marker on the primary your not shifting out all the way. You can drop a tooth on the top and get full range of shift while dropping heat in the clutches and gaining a little efficiency.
