97 sx 700 ignition problem

unplug the headlight bulb, remove rear tail light bulb and disconnect the handwarmer wires see if it will run better, this will give you all the available power from stator to the engine.
 

also tried ignition switch,voltage regulator,rectifier,unhooked hand and thumb warmers,tried a ground from engine to chassis.tried everything!!! going after the stator tomorrow.
