So, I'm up north, ray to sled this weekend, only time this year, and probably last time this year. Got a cabin rented, and friends coming up tomorrow after work. Sled won't rev properly. Runs good, but stops at 5k, and then acts like tors issues. When it does that, it needs to go back to idle before it can engage clutches again.
It's a 97 venture 600 twin with smart carbs. Is this a smart carb or tors issue? From what I've seen, tors issues are 3k max rpm. I don't think it's a smart carb issue.
I've seen some say put the oxygenated fuel switch on. I'm sure its e10. It's done this before, usually right away first time of the weekend, but goes away once warned up and operated a little. This time it's still happening after 20 minutes.
Should I try to jump the yellow/ black wires on carbs and see if that does it? I'll be working on it late am tomorrow.
Thanks in advance.
