Clutch Balance

That is all it is. just isn't very fast. Once I get it right, I then move the clutch on the shaft to a different location to make sure its not the cones, or the shaft, or the bearings. So far, it has been accurate.

I looked at Fett Bros site and it looks like they use a computer tire balancer machine similar to the one at my old job. If that's the case, can I try it with reliable results?

I know very little about sleds but I do know from an automotive stand point that when you start to get things dialed in and run out of the " big gains " components to change, that alignment and proper matching and balance are where you start to scavenge your little gains . And the little gains all add up . Every drag car I ever had trouble beating had the attention to detail end of things well covered . I'm Thinking sleds are no different and when you talk about " getting away with it " Vs "fine tuning it " you're discussing two completely different issues . I'm just absorbing everything I can right now so thanks guys for the imput on both sides
You can pull both clutches, check / true the face on both or change angle (check your belt angle). Then dynamic balance both. Take the drive shaft also and true the drivers and machine a step in center of the OD to help the track release under load. So I'd find a machine shop near you that can do it. Most speed / engine shops can.

FYI, When you add angle to the face, your cutting out meat. It does take some life out of the clutch

Thats the kind of stuff I like ! Not exactly free and very time consuming but all those little things add up and occasionally Karma shows up on race day
