98 SX 700 secondary clutching/setup info, Can't find info on what Im looking for

I have a 98 SX 700, currently running a few mods, thin head gasket, drilled out stock can, reed spacers, The secondary clutch was set to 3-3 stock setting, I changed it to 6-1, It maybe feels a little better but not enough, also seems like it takes longer to rev down, I have a 21 tooth top gear on the way for it, keeping the 40 tooth bottom and 9 tooth drivers, Witch way should I set the secondary too feel like the sled has more low to mid range power, should I set it higher to 7-1 or lower to like 3-1?? I really don't have much experience in clutching, I like a mix or trail and off trail riding, I know the 21 tooth gear will make it feel better but wondering what should I set the secondary clutch too, I also have a 54/44 helix and spring from an RX1, will this help at all or should I leave the stock spring and helix on it, Im not going to do any weight changing or anything like that, just some simple setting changing
 
You can't pull that helix. Try a helix that is one shallower than stock. 45 go to 43, 47 go to 45. That shallower helix will give it a sharper upshift when you hammer on the throttle.

Just to clarify if your going to run that helix angle, don't get a progressive get a dual angle. I tried and 51/43 from an RX-1 which is a progressive cut. I would get stuck in middle range of the helix. A short initial angle with a quick change will yield good results.
 
Tried a few new set ups, I used the Secondary clutch and spring from the RX1 with my Helix, Set it to 6-2, ran the sled and she would rev way to high 9100 plus, sounded nice but I was afraid to blow something up, So Now I got my stock spring and stock helix on the RX1 Secondary clutch, Set back to 3-3, Ran it again and the sled runs much smoother topping out at 8500 RPM's, Picks up nice and sounds awesome, Im going to leave it at this setting I think and just wait for my 21 tooth top gear, also Im going to find a nice 1.5 inch lug track for it, that will be all she gets from me I think
 
If you got an improvement in performance with a different secondary and the same helix and settings as your other clutch than there was something wrong with your old clutch. Either the sliding buttons were shot or the bushings were shot or a combination of all.

It feels good to go out and test and tune and find out what works/doesn't and how to adjust it yourself.
