battery in an srx

ive looked and looked and havent been able to find anything, i have a 98 srx all stock, i want to put in a battery for auxiliary power. is there any way to wire it so the sled will charge it up? reason is i want to do the dual headlight swap and run two hids as well as retrofit projectors with hi/lo as to properly aim the light, and im afraid the stock stator wont handle it as ive got hand and thumb warmers and heated shield.. ive considered swapping the taillight and gauge lights to leds to possibly help.
 
You are right, the stock old ignition system cannot handle HID's. A upgrade to the new dual bulb system is a must. The sled already is wired for electric start, just follow the write up in tech section to find wires. This will charge battery. While at it you should just run restart, is a great upgrade.
 
Get the LEDs, only 35w apiece ( I think thats high beam)
I got this idea the day after I bought a new gauge bezel. Sticking to the single unless I come into some "extra" money.

ok ill look again. thanks. finances arent quite there to do a full estart upgrade yet... it starts with just one pull anyways.. maybe in the future

how do i go about that? just splice red wire and black wire straight to a battery? as well as wire battery to ground? unplug the smoothing coil and wire to battery? this will charge the battery also?
