jetting and reading plugs

i have a question.what temp is best for reading plugs when jetting your sled?most of my riding is at about 20-40 degrees, not really a big fan of below zero riding.however, sometimes i do night ride, and the temp can get down to, or close to zero.so what temp should i read my plugs at to be safe, and not burn my engine down?i am new to reading plugs,and have been very interested in getting the perfect mixture in all three circuits.is it possible to change just the needle settings for a warmer day, or a colder night?or should i re-jet for different temps?i know mr viper has said that the needles are the most overlooked part of jetting, and most dont fine tune with them.can the needles be used to compensate for different temps?
 
It's going to depend on where and how you ride. If you're blasting trail in and out of the throttle you can adjust the needles as you will not be on the full main jet very often. However if you ride big lakes and hold it open often then main jets Could be where you would make the change. I would jet it slightly rich at the coldest temp you think you might ride in. It should cover about a 20 degree swing and still be close enough for trails. For instance jet for 0-20f.
 
A buddy of mine uses holtzman tempa flow. He loves it, says no matter what the temp his sled has crisp throttle response and the plugs are always spot on.
 
im running bender racing tripples, and i have read about problems with under hood, and airbox temps.is there a good solution to the problem?
 
does anyone on ty run the tempaflow with bender tripple pipes?i would love to try this, but dont want to burn down,i need jetting specs for the tripple pipes and tempaflow setup!!!2000 sxr 700/bender pipes/23-40 gearing/51/43 helix/89l weights no rivets/1 inch predator track/96 up the middle/carlisle ultimax belt/8600 rpm, and hang on !!!
 
Check out their website. It's about $200. Other than that I don't know jetting specs for your sled. It looks like they have an SRX or Sx pictured on the front page of their website.
