Picked up my rivets the other day and now it's time to start filling holes I guess. Box of 1000,ought to do me for a while.
Missing something in this general area. Waiting for my front heat exchanger to have the mount flange Tig welded back in place and then I'm good to go.

Engine in and bolted down, handlebars back on,some antifreeze in the system. Ran out so I gotta get more. Another evening at it and I should be able to fire it up.

Picked up the exhaust and a few other odds and ends last night but didn't get much done other than topping up the antifreeze and bleeding the system. Hoping to get the engine fired up tonight.

Update time. We haven't had any snow stuck around longer than a couple days so my motivation has been somewhat lacking. But the forecast is calling for snow tomorrow and again Tuesday soni guess its time to get the lead out and finish my work up. I've been at a bit of a stand still for a month now, have the engine in and fired it up. Pulled the exhaust back off to sandblast and paint it,still have to paint the lower radius rods, put the skid back together after having the front bracket welded up,and fit the Boss seat.
just need to clear coat these.

Well been held up working on the old sled for about a week now due to a miserable cold but am pushing through the last day or two.Got the front end all back together except for the skis,I'm leaving them off for the time being to make it easier to work around the engine bay.Painted the cylinder manifolds and exhaust pipes, just waiting for the paint to dry them I'll put them on tomorrow and cure the paint, put the hood back on,and hopefully get the skid back together.I have a big boy spring to swap onto the shock before I can put the skid in and I'm not sure just how I'm going to do that yet.My cousin has a set of strut compressors that I may have to use so this doesn't come flying off and hurt someone, namely me.Then once I get this all done I just have a few studs to put into my track and I'm hoping I'm done. We've got about 5 or 6 inches of snow on the ground now and I'd like to get an hour or so to run around a local hay field to make sure I didn't forget to tighten anything.

Update time. Pipes and muffler all painted, skid in and track tensioned.
Went to put the spring in my primary and noticed this little surprise.
So now I'm held up while I find another sliding sheave.

Yep. And the stupid part of this is it has been sitting in my shed where I've been working on this sled since August and not once did I ever think to check the clutch over til now. What a bone head move.

No,I had a belt go one time and it broke off one of my first gen heelclicker weights, which bounced around in between the 2 sheaves.

Well I believe I'm ready for the trails now. Finished up putting the last few odds and ends on tonight, the Apex snow flap, bumper cover, seat and tank bag.
Hoping to get out this Saturday for a little shakedown run on what little snow we do have. I want to make sure I didn't forget to tighten anything up even though I've been over things a couple of times,I'm almost sure there's going to be one or two bolts.
