LOL!, hopefully everything goes together, don't want to buy new shocks lol what are the mtn viper shocks C to C in length?

the vmax chassis and the mtn max chassis are identical with the exception of the steering components and skid location/length. if yours is the 98, it would have about a 41" ski stance, more if its an xtc model. the mtn max from 98 would have about a 38 1/2" stance.
these differences were achieved by different lengths in the tie and radius rods, along with some other minor differences. tie rods on the mtn max were 411.5mm in length. sx vmax at 441.6mm and xtc vmax at 454.2mm. same goes for the rad rods. mtn max upeers at 393.7mm, lowers at 387.7. sx and xtc are upwards of 25-45mm longer. obviously the stabilizer bar(sway bar) differs between machines and you dont want it anyways if your off trailing.
the xt shocks were by far the longest. sx the shortest, and the mtn max are in between at about 390.5 mm. the mtn viper shocks are a direct bolt on. i would have to dig a pair out of storage to measure.
now if you want to update to 2000+ geometry, the game changes again. if your making the effort, you may as well take advantage of the updated geometry. same investment for the most part.

so where the sx has the shortest shocks i shouldn't have to worry about having to worry about getting the suspension to drop more to get the shocks in place, don't know the year of the radius rods but in theory everything should bolt up.

Looks good.
Are those slp extension's? If so how well do they hold up?

It's been great so far, no complaints was worried cause it was for a viper but fits great, a little tight but better than loose
