Chaincase oil? What to use?

Anyone? The last question??? What does the manual actually call for chain case oil? Obviously a Yamaha oil but what viscosity?

The manual calls for SAE #75 or SAE #80

i dont even think they call for yamalube...? ive used marine gear case oil in a pinch.

Ok so that's a straight 75 or 80 weight not a 75w90 gear oil like a rear end in a car?

This is what we use and it works great. Full synthetic 75/90 Mercruiser hi performance gear oil. This oil has additives for extreme temperature changes from -40 to 400*.
