So with my new setting that is for the 95 model it will uppshift earlier. It's kind of confusing. The 95 Vmax 600 had as far as I know around 80 hp. My 96 is listed as 93.5 hp. Why? I mean with a stronger engine you'd expect that it would need lower rpm before upshifting. Is the 96 engine much peakier with a narrower powerband? I've never ridden a 95 or earlier Vmax. Anyway It doesn't feel weak so I won't bother to change it back before the season is over (In a week or two).
As to my previous question about flushing. When I've drained the old coolant and then used the garden hose to flush out old residue, how do I know that there is no water left in the system when filling up again. I have access to compressed air, would that work?

usually you mix coolant with water to the right % for your aplication unless buying premixed. usual ratio is 50/50, 50% water to 50% antifreeze.

Yes but I mean, how do I get the "clean" water out that I flushed with, or is there no risk of significant amounts being left in the system messing up the 50-50?

The sled is stored outdoors under a roof and a tarp over it so I don't want to risk anything. I think the coldest I've had where I live is about -43 C but that's rare. During january to beginning of february it's not too uncommon with -30 to -36 C though

Then I'd did say a 60/40 mix should be used. So long as some straight water is left in the engine after your flush.
