andy,i agree i would go to 8ca,s. but you can,t have lite weights and a very shallow finish. it won,t work. the primary and this motor has to sense a load somewhere. thats clutching 101. now don,t know this sled but assuming the rpm he wants to run, this is a full blow,in race motor. 3:16x (yammie tony)
Tony, where would you start with helix. I have pretty much the same set up (race ported and bender 9700 rpm race pipes). I have 8ab's at 43 grams in the primary and not sure where to start on the secondary. I have most of the Yamaha secondary springs and a hauck silver spring and a good assortment of helix's.
I haven't had much luck with this sled since I put the high rpm pipes on. I tried HC but couldn't seem to get them to pull near enough rpm. If I remember correctly I had nothing in the middle and tip and 5 gram on the heel. Maybe if I lightened the heel and tried them again it would be better.
