It says for 01 sxr and 02 and up Vipers, due to the casting or something. But this is a 1997 model. Anyway, running 14 mm rollers didnt help.

you could try a softer belt so it grabs harder but it sounds like you need more traction.
Not really sure what is softer than the stock belt. Traction might be the cause. Anyway, it still does 87 on the dream-o-meter.
With 250 rpm overrev, the top end is 3 mph better.
Weird.

Maybe less wrap on secondary spring would let it shift faster out of the gate, lowering rpm initially.
Good point, could try that.

I never worried about that small of an over-rev. But if you are, think about slightly putting a load on the mill.
This is as good as it's going to get:
Primary: Purple maxx perf SRX spring.
0,0 grams in heel
6,5 grams in the middle
6,7 grams in the tip.
2 hauck engagement shims
39 deg helix with a yamaha green sec. spring.
Engagement is about 3850. It revs to about 8000. Really good usable power for trail use. Seems to be "on the pipe" much more than with any other set up.
Hoping to see 90 mph on the dream o meter this season.
