Going to be doing a refresh on the SX.
Never liked the Yellow on the SX models, and now I feel that it makes it look old..
Things that will happen:
1. Dual Headlight swap w/newer style gauges
2. Led headlights
3. Brand new red hood
3. 2003 SXR graphics
4. Rebuild/or recharge all shocks
5. Powder coat all front suspension parts
6. Widen front end to Viper/XTC specs
Things that may happen:
1. New Pistons and rings
2. Porting
3. New hacksaw track
Started on the new graphics last night. These were made to go on a blue hood, so I need to remove all the blue. Just this one decal took almost 45 min. with an exacto knife.... FML.....

Also considering doing the trailing arms and tunnel silver.
Just not sure how that would look with black belly pan, as all the sleds that have silver tunnel and trailing arms have blue hood and blue belly pan.
Any opinions ?

Nice sled Jason. One of the best fast trail sleds ever made! I will see if i can get one of my kids to photoshop a silver tunnel and trailing arms into that pic for ya.

I think black trailing arms and rods would look good to, to match the existing tunnel.
I am thinking the same thing. I am also considering replacing the seat with a all black seat from like a Vmax or XTC.
The red seat is cool, but dates the sled, and the red on the seat is not as bright as the hood and other parts. Then I was thinking red rear bogey wheels, and red front springs.
I have a newly powder coated set of black trailing arm from my XTC on hand.
Almost finished cutting out all the blue off the SXR decals, and have most of them installed.
Still waiting for the “ Trail Performance” decals to show up.

I like the silver myself. I think a red and black viper seat would look sweet too! But...you know what they say about opinions.........

Still missing a few...but need more opinions.

Going to use the silver pro action decals on the trailing arms.
Not sure if the arms should be black or red?
