Well, started on my Viper S today, just in the beginnings of tear down.
Sled has SLP pipes, loaded 8DN weights, carbs vented to atmosphere, 156.3 mains, 45 pilots, clip position 3.
Also has a peak performance srx head with 22.5cc domes. 130 compression across the board.

Excellent! About to pick up a Viper... and this is just what I needed to see. More pics?

I will post as things come apart, and go back together.
If there is anything you want to see specifically, let me know.

Couple more, pics from 4 years ago when I got it, been sitting since.

Pipes out, no broken motor mounts.
Not sure about crank seal....
Opinions? Does it look like a leaker?

So, both crank seals are leaking a bit.
Pulled motor. Pistons and cylinders look great. Will replace crank seals.
Tonight, replaced worn out grips with the factory units. Hooked them up to 12v and let them get hot for several minutes, then started twisting with gloves on.

Started new seat cover project, have a NOS Viper cover to install, just need the right stapler. Pic shows old cover, and no cover.

Oh man, just a set of loaden 8dn s to keep the revs down? What is the top rpm supposed to be? What are the other pieces of the clutch kit, rollers, springs and helix?

Unknown aftermarket spring tested at 113kg, stock 47 helix, suppose to run at 8900 rpm.
No idea if it will or won’t yet.,

To be honest, that doesn't sound like it will work. The spring sounds to be the yamaha one with the end force of 114. Man he compensated bad for the weights that are too light.

I would agree, I doubt it will work, but I have a ton of springs. One of them should work. Loaded 8DN 20's will take a pretty stiff spring for 8900 rpm.

I clutched a slp piper viper, twice. First with heelclickers and the button secondary, then the owner wanted a hauck roller, so we did it, ended up with a shallower start angle, he seems very happy with it.

Well, been waiting for parts, but got this rear frame piece installed, mine was all wrecked from a previous rear end collision.

You recall the setup with button secondary?
He had the same weights as you (loaded in both holes), a bender helix I never figured the angle of and green yamaha secondary at 70 degrees. 23/40 gearing. I have a very good set up for his sled with a button secondary, but that is with Hauck X weights.
