The knuckle at the bottom of the strut that holds the ski won't come off. I removed the two pinch bolts and it loose on the strut but come off. It looks as if the strut has a sideways notch at the bottom that coresponds to the bushing in the bottom knuckle and that the only way to "unlock" the knuckle is to remove the bushing. Am I right? If not why won't the bottom knuckle come off?

If you have the ski off, there is a hidden set screw hiding on there that helps secure the foot to the strut. I believe its a 2.5mm allen and chances are it will be so stuck you wont get it out due to the fact they are so easily stripped. Find it, try the removal, and then drill it out or physically just beat the base off as a last resort.

I'm buying this kit to replace whatever I can get out/off. I'm good with the collars and bushings but where do the plastic washers go. Never saw them on the disassembly.
