Hebi; you are young & eager. You learn a lot more by doing then reading. What you read is not representitve of what really happens. When you get a lot of miles riding, tuning & fixing Yamaha sleds you will know what I am talking about. Your eagerness towards Yamaha sleds is refreshing. You will learn a kazillion times more by riding & actual hands on doing then reading all these posts; alltho they will point you in the right direction.
I understand what you are trying to say, Turk. You know, at first I thought you were trying to kind of say that you want me to just shut up but now I dont think thats at all what you meant to say.
As you can easily notice, I dont give out a lot of technical advice. I dont tell people what they should run for jets or how they should set up their clutches. I know that I dont have enough technical knowledge to give that kind of advice.
However, when it comes to the old Phazers, I know my stuff. 03viperguy can attest to that.
Also, when people ask how the new stuff runs or how I think the '06 will run, Im just as qualified to lend an opinion as anyone else.
Also, Ive been around snowmobiles for almost 25 years now. Granted, they were Polaris, not Yamaha, but all brands have the same basic designs. Sliderail suspension is similar, trailing arms suspension are all similar. Its not like all of Yamaha's designs are exclusive to Yamaha.
Like I said, I do understand what you are saying, and I have taken that into consideration. I always have, and always will try to make as many positive contributions to TY as I can. That will never change. One thing I will not do, is give people info of a technical nature (jetting, clutching) unless I know it is spot on accurate. The LAST thing I want to do is give someone advice that does harm to them or they sled.
