Dootalk thread bashing the Apex.


they probably wear doo diapers too. the funny thing about that thread is that the guy that started it obviously didn't know that the nytro isn't rider forward, only the apex, attak, etc. the best way to look at is this, its not extreme rider forward like a rev, more relaxed and it is MORE rider forward than previous yamahas. i've taken revs for test rides, they are nice but too extreme forward for me, once i sat on an apex i was sold. very comfortable.


ps. that guy went way out of his way to proove a stupid point that no one cares about except doo lovers. i mean come on, went to a show and sat in different positions and had a buddy take pics all the while using the wrong sled as an example.

I don't suggest anyone to go to that site. I've never heard so much mindless dribble in my life. The fact is they are talking so much about the new lineup cuz they are threatened. I can't believe that those guys fall so hard into the piss poor comparisons they conjure up. I mean really...do you notice how, in the 2nd comparison (appex v. nytro) the pics aren't even taken from the same distance!!!! Geee! I don't think that would skew the comparision???? WHATEVER!! Bunch of idiots. Do we sit on this site and make ridiculous comparisons and try to disprove the other guys products...NO! Again, it just shows you how much they are threatened by the new Yammie lineup. Afterall, if they truely have the best, then it really shouldn't matter what the other guys are doing....right?
 
so his argument is that the new yamahas that he has not riden dont ride as good as the sled he has????

why does anyone care about weight?, unless you ride like an idiot or lift your sled you cant tell the weight riding. if this is not true then go ride a vmax4 and then an 05 rx and tell me what one is heavier. weight is a non issue.
 
wow, those guys honestly have nothing but shi* between their ears. That mxz man will do anything to make sure his buddies don't like the yamaha's, lol. Oh well, at least they have their incredible sleds that kick the yammie's arses.
 
There isn't much difference between that site and amsnow.com when it comes to bashing. No offense to anyone that visits amsnow, but it's the truth. People mock what they know nothing about.
Agreed. When people feel threatened they begin to show a defense mode which is what you saw in that post. they're turning yellow. haaaaa !

Wow, that guy sure knows alot just from sitting on it. He even knows how difficult it will be to steer the sled just by sitting on it.

Wait till 2008, once they have finished paying their loans off they will switch to Yamaha and deny ever owning a poo. When you still owe several thousand on a sled, you have to bash the best.
 
I check out their forum from time to time. All you heard on there all winter was their constant wining about their piston and rings letting go. Along with there complaints about their front suspension falling apart. Oh and you I can't forget about their complaing about their how their crappy ski's make them almost miss every turn in loose snow.(I have seen this first hand). Ha Ha. ;)!
 
now don't everyone start in on the stuff that we are criticizing him for. we love our yammies, they love their doos. some love fords, some chevy's, it all depends on the person and the applications. sure, doo's got a great rider forward design, but yammy is working on one too because thats what we the consumers have asked for. but have you seen the size of that powerplant? i mean please, its hard to work around the size of that thing to get it the way we want it. thats what those ivy league guys up their at yamaha get paid for, to design these things!!! no average joe is going to come up with a fix for this stuff. they listen to us, they take in the feedback, and they put out. i know they are working on a lighter design, i know they are working on a better rider forward, i know they are. but it takes time. if the doo guys want to bash it, read the post further down "man i love that engine"!!! stick with what you know works for you and what you like and you can't go wrong. let the boys at yamaha work for you. thats all i got, peace...
 
Funny how an avid Doo Man can sit on a Yamaha for 10 minutes at a show and be an expert on it - did it ever occur to him that people might want a rider forward sled that is not as rider forward as the Doo's? - the biggest complaint I heard about the Rex's (aside from the ring issue) is that the riding position is uncomfortable for alot of riders - I think Yamaha has hit on a more "rider friendly" position - I think most of you are right, this guy and alot of other brand riders are threatened by the new line up - I think they have good reason to be! - rock on Yamaha!
 
I thought it was interesting that a couple of posts indicated that Yamaha and the mags say the new platform is better than the rev's. I've yet to hear or read an article/ad by Yamaha that compares the two. On the other hand, the mags can say what they wish. But most rags will never hard bash any manufacturer, as they need those ad monies to keep their doors open. This is the main reason I've dropped all my mag subscriptions except Snowtech. Do you think if all the mags would just tell the truth, good and bad, that the end product (snowmobiles) would be better today than they are??? Just Curious.

Yeah they keep sending me Supertrax and SnowGoer in the mail for free. I still go out and buy SnowTech to find out what I want to know. They tell it like it is. They also cover alot of technical aspects of the machines. So if you are like me and you love the mechanical side of the machines along with the lifestyle and the sledding community then you will love SnowTech.
