Turbo?

Turbo

There use to be a place in Batavia,NY called Aerocharger.....I dont know if they are still around or not though. I know Bender racing is currently working on a turboed 2005 Mach Z so you might want to give them a call. They might be able to possibly custom make you something???? It would probably be some big $$$$ though.

yea i was going to say aerocharger used to make them but i haven't heard anything from them in a couple of years.

the srx pictured above is from powderlites. if you do turbo a srx, let me know what all you did. i might put one on my srx this summer. thanks!!!

I can say that a friend owns a dyno company and has done a LOT of custom projects, and he says that it isnt worth it. says only place it is any good is in the mountains where it would make up for the altitude. he tried like hell to get it to work (has a turbo vette and pushed it to 700whp and 700wlbft in his garage) and just couldnt. just didnt always work right :(

Well bender has a turbo kit for the new mach z, so for they are up to 278hp for over 150 dyno runs with no problems, there goal is to achieve 300hp.

and they've dropped development of the apex turbo's 'cause the mach is making bigger gains with less work...

Jr..I don't think that's the case...considering they are still developing their turbo grass sleds...a surprising number of them at that! I was talking to Gerry this weekend and he mentioned that the 4s kits are still much more popular..and has far more potential then the Mach.

this is what I have found after knowing and talking to a guy that has built a few turbos, a few engines and a few drag sleds. he owns a dyno company and I really take his opinions in high regard. land&sea dynomite dynomometers :)

my mistake, I guess your buddy knows better than detroit diesel, and by proxy general motors, and mercedes, and in the near future dodge.

When I put boost to a sled its gonna have a 1 piece crank and pressurized oiling system. Comparing a 2 stroke sled and a Detroit is like comparing apples and oranges.

yes, exactly! and where are the 2 strokes, I didnt see them there. the bottom end of a 4 stroke yami is by far stronger than the bottom of a doo.

have you ever seen an SRX or a viper spit out a crank? I don't spend much time in the doo's so I can't say, but I've seen R1's do it, that site has 4 or 5 2-stroke turbo's guys, ya it's not a direct comparison, but I'm saying it can and has been done, it's not impossible.
