On the back side of your secondary there are 3 small bolts (8MM wrench). Remove them and take the washer off of it. It should be right then. Maxdlx

better yet, get rid of the screws and shims altogether, and get a adjustable secondary belt deflection device. this allows you to adjust belt deflection to get rid of squeel and add to belt performance as the belt wears. also locks secodary in place v.s floating. ski

There's nothing to buy. Just take out those 3 bolts remove the washers that are on each bolt and put back in. The extra depth that the bolts will now reach hold open the secondary enough to allow the belt to drop into the secondary and stop the squealing.

the bolts should always be there. the washers determine the depth of the belt. add or remove them to get the belt height set. take a caliper and measure your belt width, if its too narrow get a new one.

Not sure how old those bolts are, it is POSSIBLE that they are worn down enough that they won't make enough contact with the shieve to separate it enough (they do wear out over time from the secondary closing against them. Most likely though, just do as everyone else says and remove a washer from each of the three bolts in order to drop the belt down into the secondary more.

look at the link and you will see bolt number 11.
These are small botls behind the secondary on the motor side.
These three bolts have a washer or maybe 2 on them.
Pull one bolt out at a time remove a washer and re-install the bolt.
Do this for all 3 bolts and remove only 1 washer from each to start.
This will allow the secondary to open a little more dropping the belt lower.
This should cure your sqweeling belt.
Let us know how this works out.

you have everything you need. If the new belt sqweels the three bolts is the adjustment for this. If the three bolts you have are the three in the back of the secondary replace them. If you do not have washers with them see how many are currently installed. As I said in my other reply if you only have one per bolt, remove the washer totally and just put in your new bolt.
I hope things clears things up.

To remove the secondary, just take out the bolt holding it on (14mm) then the clutch will just slide off. There will be some spacers on there just remember what order things came off. Flip the clutch over and you will see the 3 bolts with shims(washers).

the secondary does not need to come off to remove the bolt with washer.
Locate them first on the back side of the clutch.

Alright:
1st does it mater if the secondary spring is wound up as far as it could go.
anyway this is what i did removed the secondary, removed all the old bolts(3) Left the shims(washers) and replaced the 3 bolts with new ones.
The result i got with the new belt installed is the same. the belt is still below the edge of the sheave
then i tried it with new belt, new bolts NO shims
and still not 1.5mm above the edge of the secondary it was still below same i think
So now i have the OLD belt, new bolts and shims and still below the secondary
I just want to get a belt new or old i dont care to the proper measure above the secondary sheave
