Can't pull off the secondary, are there any tricks, suggestions, and if not where is the best place to hit it with the big hammer. Did a search and could not find any solutions. It's on a 85 Bravo, and could have been on 20 years?? Nut came off easy. Thanks Cam

can you take the hole shaft off or turn the sled on its side and put wd 40 in the hole and let it sit.you would heat up the back of the clutch were we can not seeit but i dont think it would work.good luck

Plan on taking the side off for access to weld frame so would be able to use a puller, still hoping for WD-40 to work. It is on it's side now with the WD-40. So one would apply heat near the bearing on the frame? And if all these don't work what is the options?
Thanks Cam

It looks tha same as my Ovation. This is what I did and it worked like a charm. I took my PH50 Snap-On air hammer with the tapered ended chisel and just gave it a quick shot right in the center of the shaft. The clutch popped right off. A tip here is to leave the nut on so it is flush with the end of the shaft. Using this method can be dicey but I've been doing it for thirty years with much success.

Just when I thought I had it done. How does this "seat, secondary spring" come off? Should it just slide off? It seems stuck also, I have applied the wd-40, now any suggestions before force is applied. Do I go with the gear puller again? Thanks for any help. Cam

still in a pickel is see can you take the gear off the other side and undue the bearing take the hole shaft off and put it standing up in a table vise. than beat the shaft down with a brass plate so the end will not get ruined.or a bigger puller with some more wd.
