my father in law has a 700 mxz that looks a lot like yours, other than the custom stuff of course can't knock it, it is a nice sled and he even ran it out of oil 2 years ago... added oil and it kept going. he has yet to take it apart even with me telling him he should, but it does keep running great and seems to have been unfazed by being run dry. the thing actually died on the trail when he ran it out, so it SHOULD have wrecked something!!! rides and handles decent. so all in all, nice sled you have and again, welcome aboard!

Following the leader

This is my little 6. I puchased it two years ago for 600cdn. A friend had not used it in ages and had it stored, the machine has always been garage kept and dealer maintained. It had one small crack in the hood, so my bud fixed it up(he is a body guy, paints lambo's and lexus' for a living). Hard to see, I will get more pics, but this is sitting real high ona brand new M-10 Master suspension. Air up front, coil-over in the rear. The paint will be changin this year again, some pearl orange and graphics. Mods are being performed this summer. 15,000k on it and never rebuilt.

I will be leaving that blue, but the whole chassis is going to be pearl orange, I am also looking at adding some of the orange to the hood via a tribal strip of some sort.

Our sleds

The 97 I bought brand new. Has 11,000 on it now and is getting a refresh this summer. The 95 got last summer with about 4600 on it and extended the M-10 on it to 144". The 96 XT was mine but became the wifes the next year when I bought the 97.

Well yah, as long as my backs not against the wall finacially. Seems you have a soft spot for the 97's. There is a 97 Vmax 4 Moutain Max listed in Newfoundland for about 3200 canadian. That thing should be a real unicorn as far as sleds go. About 50 built going by known Vin numbers.

I had a 96 and with the long travel and hydraulic brake and it should be an amazing sled I would love another, but the new baby and a recent soft spot for bikes (got my first a few years back and have just recently been given a 78 cb750 that needs a good going over, so that is getting my attention and what LITTLE $$ I have to give lol!! mostly the new baby though, and I think that is more time than anything at this point!
