ok got all my clutch parts in now for my sxr 500.

the question is where is a good starting point? (after i do centre to centre and offset)

the weights are thundershift 40 gram base with 3 holes usin 15mm rollers with 2 engagement shims as per vmj 500 setup with a 47/41 dalton for secondary.

should i divide the weight evenly between all 3 holes + the little bit im short for the weight difference in the 8ab's he uses in his setup?

8ab=41.0g and he uses 2.4 in both holes.

thanks cameron

ps yamahaman after in done with the centre to centre tool and offset yes you can borrow them. :yrules:

inital setup is done. centre to centre was out almost 1/2" (thank god i bought tool).

ok inital set is 3 grams in inner and outermost hole (weights have 3 holes)

the engagement is olny 3500rpm currently. vmj setup calls for 4100
stock calls for 3800

so proper thing to do would be take some out of the inner hole and add it to centre hole to raise engagement right?

havent done wot test yet to see what peak is at but belt problem from last year does not seem to be present anymore.

guideance is always appreciated ;)!

lemme know a date and it can be set up.

by the way im done with centre to centre tool if you need to borrow it ;)!

there lots of snow and ice on whitewater lake for testin. they was radaring sleds on sunday at the park when i went past.

gonna test sxr tomorrow for peak
