V-Max 600SX races at idle, bogging PART TWO

Hi Daman:).

Hehe yeah she`s a hottie, should have been my girlfriend haha:).

Yeah I will tell her to keep an eye on the temp light.

A few days ago I reassembled the chaincase on a friends V-Max 4, is the drain plug located on the same spot on the V-Max SX?. On the V-Max it was a little 6mm screw in the bottom of the chaincase.

If the coolers get hot, I guess it means that everything is OK, but I will pay attention to the coolant level.
Do I have to cut away some plastic to reach it?. Wierd.

nope, you may have to lay on the ground,,throttle side front, look up under
the sled on the side where the case would be on the other side,,you should
see it!!!!!

The only screw that might look like a drain plug is part nr. 34. But it`s on the wrong side.. ??.

The rain has been pooring down all day, so I took a break from the sled wrenching and painted a little in our livingroom instead.

Oh, would it be stupid to flush the chaincase with for example diesel, in order to remove the old gummy-white oil?.

If I flush through it with the drain plug out, I don`t think it will penetrate into the bearings, and if it does I don`t think it would do any damage since the new oil will get into them anyway.. .

Today the V-Max fired on 2nd pull, that`s good I think, I`m so happy.

Oh guys one question. If one of you guys did this job for a guy you knew, would your friend pay you a little for the job?. I told my friend that I was about to buy a new photocamera and that I needed money badly, now I feel kind of "bad" since I did that, but I`ve spent quite a few hours with that sled, even though I think it`s fun and everything, I still need to get money from somewhere since I haven`t got an apprentice job yet.

wont hurt nothing.

aha daman:).

She payed the parts, but I fixed her a good price through Rich, the parts would have costed twice as much in Norway infact.. hehe:).

I`m about to order my new photocamera now, a Canon EOS350D digital SLR, I need one so that I can shoot some nice sledding pictures.. hehe :).
I`m so happy now, the weather report said that it would get colder tomorrow.. maybe we`ll get some snow:).
